The Role:
As a Hardware Development manager you will manage team of Electrical Engineers who are responsible for the electrical design on broad range of consumer electronics. We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast paced start-up like your manager role you and your team will be the owner of all aspects of EE hardware design including circuit/board design hardware validation and cost-effective work related to hardware design. To be successful you need to be highly motivated and detail oriented while showing highest standards of responsibilities. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to identify opportunities to drive efficiencies for the teams deliverables
Key job responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers providing them technical guidance and mentorship while fostering a supportive and high-performing team culture.
- Drive organizational alignment for the team to ensure you can broaden the teams impact while mitigating risks.
- Drive team to deep dive complex issue analysis for Customer-Returned Devices
- Lead team to implement circuit/board design design changes and hardware validation for motherboards
- Lead team to identify opportunities and mechanisms to improve the team influence and business impact such as cost-effective opportunities cost avoidance
- Work with vendors and CMs to streamline to ensure engagement models and associated requirements are streamlined
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related technical field
- Experience in engineering team management
- 7 years of new hardware products development experience
- Experience in motherboard design PCB design including schematic capture stackup and circuit board layout
- Experience with the project management of technical projects
- Experience in system-level integration - Audio Power Battery management RF ESD or equivalent
- Masters degree in Electrical Mechanical Power Engineering or a related field
- Experience in DFx (cost test manufacturing)
- Experience developing products for large volume production
- Experience managing teams of 8 engineers
