Responsibilities:

The Characterization Hardware Engineer Interns responsibilities would include but not be limited to the following:
Analog circuitry design and verification (TECs TIAs Power Supplies Amplifiers etc.)
Digital circuitry design and verification (MCU Memory Transistors etc.)
Mixed signal circuitry design simulation and verification (ADCs DACs)
Potential product re-spin using Cadence OrCAD Allegro and Siemens PADS design tools
Proficiency in LAB tools (Oscilloscopes and DMMs).

Characterize of high-speed optical transceivers
Set up R&D stations execute debugging on test stations and modules
Execute Design Verification Tests. Write technical reports
Work closely with cross-functional teams including software firmware optical MFG and mechanical.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will be enrolled in a Masters degree program in Electrical Computer Optical Engineering or Physics.

Desired Qualifications:

Candidates have taken graduate courses on optical communications and/or RF digital and analog circuit design. Other relevant areas may be considered.
Solid foundation in digital analog circuit design and optics
Experience with optical transceivers or transmission optical subsystems
Lab experience with optical and circuit equipment
Knowledge of optical architectures and systems is an asset.
Software development experience (Phyton C) is preferred
Experience with GUI Development Word Macro/Templates/ Outline/Table Excel Matlab
Proficient in data analysis and organization
Excellent communication organizational and time management skills
Good English communication skills
