Role Overview

The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial operations for Doyle Construction ensuring accuracy compliance and strong internal controls. This individual will partner with executive leadership to support the companys rapid growth toward $1B revenue strengthening systems processes and financial reporting to ensure scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct all accounting operations including AP AR payroll and general ledger.
  • Oversee construction-specific financials: job costing WIP schedules subcontractor compliance change orders and accruals.
  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements.
  • Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Manage internal controls financial policies and compliance requirements.
  • Mentor and grow the accounting team in line with Doyles culture and values.
  • Support strategic initiatives including new markets acquisitions and systems upgrades.
  • Implement and optimize ERP/accounting systems to handle expansion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA strongly preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive finance/accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
  • Strong experience in construction accounting including WIP and job cost.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams in mid to large GCs.
  • Experience in scaling systems and processes to support significant growth.
  • High integrity detail orientation and excellent communication skills.
