We are seeking a motivated Country General Manager (GM) for Thailand to lead and enhance our presence in a dynamic Southeast Asia market. The Country GM will own the business strategy commercial execution and operational excellence to deliver sustained growth and strengthen Thermo Fishers leadership position.

What Will you do

Strategic Leadership & Growth

Define and implement the Thailand business strategy to deliver sustainable profitable growth in alignment with Southeast Asia regional objectives.

Develop the country go-to-market (GTM) model and establish local infrastructure to enable scalability and commercial success across all divisions.

Drive growth through organic initiatives and partnerships while seeing opportunities for strategic expansion market development and customer engagement.

Translate global and regional strategies into actionable business plans tailored to Thailands market potential and regulatory landscape.

Commercial & Financial Management

Lead commercial execution across divisions ensuring consistent delivery of revenue margin and free cash flow targets.

Improve the countrys P&L capital investments and budgets to drive operational efficiency and optimize returns.

Champion data-driven decision-making and business optimization through continuous performance management.

People & Organizational Leadership

Build develop and lead a strong leadership team and organization ensuring a strong talent pipeline across all functions.

Foster a culture of integrity innovation intensity and involvementthe 4i Values that define Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Lead with authenticity accountability and a deep dedication to building a One Thermo Fisher culture across Thailand.

External Relations & Brand Stewardship

Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific as the primary spokesperson in Thailand engaging with customers partners industry bodies and government agencies.

Improve Thermo Fishers presence and standing as a respected scientific and technology ally advancing Thailands innovation and sustainability objectives.

Lead the companys government relations compliance and regulatory engagement in collaboration with regional and global teams.

Health Safety & Compliance

Promote Thermo Fishers strong commitment to Environment Health and Safety (EH&S) and ensure compliance with all local and corporate standards.

Hold leadership teams accountable for identifying and mitigating EH&S risks and ensuring a safe healthy and inclusive work environment.

How will you get there

  • Bachelors degree of business management chemistry engineering physics or equivalent. MBA is preferred
  • 15 years Sales/Commercial Experience with 8 years leadership experience from related industries.
  • Proven experience leading sophisticated commercial organizations with full P&L accountability ideally within the life sciences healthcare or adjacent industries.
  • Proven track record in developing and delivering growth strategies improving customer engagement and leading all aspects of diverse go-to-market models.
  • Proven record of managing a sophisticated matrix organization in a multinational company.
  • Demonstrates strong financial competence in managing operational performance capital investment and business transformation.
  • Experienced in leading large diverse teams and developing high-potential talent across multiple functions.
  • Skilled at building partnerships with customers government entities suppliers and industry associations.
  • Experience navigating market challenges business turnarounds or high-growth transformations
