Job Summary

This in-person role partners closely with employees and leaders to provide day-to-day HR support with a focus on employee relations benefits and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and managers
- Process and maintain leave of absence administration
- Handle employee relations matters including investigations and performance support
- Support benefits administration and respond to employee benefit questions
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- Support onboarding employee communications and engagement initiatives
Qualifications:
- 3 years of HR Generalist experience
- Strong knowledge of employee relations benefits and HR compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- HRIS and ATS experience required (Workday a plus)
- Union experience preferred not required
Work Environment:
- In-person role based in Chicago IL monthly travel to Batavia IL
