ESS Clean is seeking a hands-on Area Manager to oversee overnight janitorial operations across multiple client sites. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who excels at quality control client communication and operational execution in a fast-paced environment.
The Area Manager owns day-to-day operations for a group of client sites. Youll hire train and coach associates monitor quality through regular inspections and make sure every customer concern gets swift complete follow-up.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Train and coach janitorial staff to ensure performance standards are met
- Address performance or attendance issues promptly and document actions
- Reinforce company policies procedures and expectations on-site
Quality Control & Customer Care
- Inspect each facility on a scheduled basis and correct deficiencies immediately
- Respond to client questions or complaints the same day and follow through to resolution
- Identify and coordinate special services such as deep cleans and floor care
Operations & Compliance
- Review and approve employee timecards; submit payroll data accurately and on time
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies to maintain par levels without waste
- Enforce all safety policies; investigate and report incidents immediately
- Complete required company training and certifications
Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- 2 years of management experience in janitorial facilities or building services
- Strong judgment and ability to prioritize in a time-sensitive environment
- Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized; able to manage multiple sites simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (email spreadsheets documents)
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
