Reporting to the Director of Nursing for Trauma/Neurosciences the Trauma Program Manager (TPM) provides administrative operational and quality oversight of the hospitals trauma program in collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director (TMD). The TPM ensures compliance withAmerican College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACS COT)standards state trauma regulations and organizational policies. This role is responsible for trauma program performance improvement registry oversight outreach coordination and preparation for ACS verification and state designation. The TPM oversees the PI coordinators Registrars and Injury Prevention manager will work closely with Emergency Services Surgical Services ICU Ancillary Departments and Hospital Leadership.
Education:
Minimum: Bachelors Degree in Nursing required or related field.
Preferred: Masters degree Nursing or related healthcare focus
Experience:
Trauma clinical experience (ED or ICU preferred)
Trauma program management trauma leadership or quality management experience
Five (5) years clinical experience in Emergency or Trauma nursing
Working knowledge of Quality Improvement process and Joint Commission standards
Knowledge of ACS COT standards and trauma PIPS processes
Knowledge of Florida Department of Health Trauma Standards
Certifications:
Required: Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida. American Heart Association BLS and ACLS; TNCC
Preferred: PALS and ENPC
