This role is perfect for professionals who can respond at short notice work flexible 24/7 shifts (after-hours overnight weekends public holidays) and deliver immediate care with full support from our multidisciplinary team.

About the Role
As a Casual Emergency Accommodation Youth Worker you will:
- Must be available 24/7 and flexible for last-minute shifts including after-hours overnight weekends and public holidays
- Provide immediate trauma-informed care to young people in crisis
- Ensure safety stability and emotional support during short-term placements
- Respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviours
- Support daily routines wellbeing and basic living needs
- Transport young people using company vehicles when required
- Document shift notes observations and incidents accurately
About You
Our ideal candidate will:
- Experienced in working with at-risk or vulnerable young people ideally in residential or crisis settings
- Skilled in trauma-informed practice
- Calm resilient and adaptable under pressure
- Flexible and ready to step in at short notice
- Committed to reflective practice professional accountability and team collaboration
Essential Criteria
- Certificate IV or higher in Youth Work Community Services or related field
- Current Paid Blue Card
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Open drivers licence
- National Police Check (within the last 2 years)
