Theyll probably tell you about our Armadale YouthServices which includes our Slam and Jam program. Slam and Jam is aFriday night diversionary program that engagesyoung people in basketball and other mixed sports.
As a Youth Engagement Officer your role will go beyondbasketball focusing on connecting with young people atrisk promoting positive behaviour and creating a safe welcomingspace for our young people. What youll be doing
Slam & Jam is a vibrant basketball-based program designedfor young people at risk of engaging in the just system aged10-18. You will primarily be involved in the delivery of the Slamand Jam program which involves engaging young people throughbasketball games and other sporting activities. You will beinstrumental in creating a safe place where young people canconnect and be included. Your role will involve transporting youngpeople cooking meals providing social-emotional support andmanaging complex behaviours. You will also be required to alsoundertake admin tasks such as shift notes incident reports anddata entry.
There is the opportunity to pick up casual shifts at ourGigSpace in Leederville and our Belmont Youth Centre.
