Job Summary
The Distribution Manager will oversee distribution activities to ensure that our customers & primary stakeholder requirements are consistently satisfied. Market activities also require full compliance with AbbVie policies and procedures while achieving performance targets related to inventory efficiency distribution efficacy and quality compliance.
Preferred location for this role is Zwolle (Netherlands) with the option to be based in Dublin (Ireland).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daytoday management of ThirdParty Logistics (3PL) providers responsible for distributing AbbVie products.
- Ensure distribution processes and policies are fully aligned with affiliate functions including Commercial Customer Service Finance Planning and Quality Assurance.
- Promote the role of Global Distribution & Channel Management to affiliate leadership by underlining the main successes critical performance areas businesscontinuity risks and ongoing projects. Establish a strong working relationship with our commercial partners.
- Support the development and implementation of bestpractice procedures to optimize product distribution across the supply chain.
- Implement support and document the 3PL Governance Model.
- Lead Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) with each 3PL provider.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to align AbbVie and 3PL partners on strategy future objectives and performance expectations for Warehousing and Distribution operations.
- Monitor 3PL performance metrics (e.g. ontime delivery inventory accuracy) and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications :
- Proficient in English.
- University degree in Operations Management Supply Chain or related field.
- 5 years of direct warehouse management experience and/or experience managing 3PL warehouse providers.
- Knowledge of distribution channels and requirements in the responsible countries.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation/freight forwarding processes/customs.
- Strong communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge and experience with SAP S/4HANA SD IM & WM modules (preferred) WMS and TMS systems in general.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Building and managing cross functional partnerships.
- Business and commercial acumen.
- In depth knowledge of the logistics and distribution industry including awareness of relevant legislation in the countries.
- Exceptional analytical skills to interpret complex business situations and define forwardlooking strategies.
- Proven track record of delivering results and focusing on business priorities.
- Strong leadership decision-making and influencing skills to drive results and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to work independently innovate and review current processes and practices.
- Proficient in data analysis and able to leverage insights to enhance operations efficiency and performance.
