The Opportunity:
Flywire is seeking an experienced and strategic Internal Audit Manager to lead Flywires SOX testing program in India encompassing both IT and Business Process controls while partnering closely with the Global Internal Audit leadership team.
This role is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of SOX execution people leadership and program evolution. You will serve as a key assurance provider to senior leadership and the Boards Audit Committee ensuring Flywire maintains a robust scalable and future-ready internal control environment.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a SOX professional who combines technical depth people leadership and strategic vision in a fast-growing cloud-first fintech organization.
YOUR STRATEGIC IMPERATIVES
SOX Program Leader
Lead plan and manage Flywires end-to-end SOX testing program including annual planning risk assessment external auditor reliance strategy resource allocation and budget oversight. Ensure SOX execution aligns with ICFR COSO IIA and COBIT standards while meeting regulatory and audit committee expectations.
People Leader & Coach
Directly lead mentor and develop a team of senior auditors responsible for ITGCs IT automated/application controls and business process controls. Foster a culture of quality accountability continuous learning and collaboration across the SOX team.
Quality & Assurance Champion
Review and approve audit workpapers testing results and remediation plans to ensure high professional standards consistency and audit-ready documentation. Provide clear concise reporting that enables confident reliance by external auditors and senior stakeholders.
Strategizer
Evaluate SOX risks holistically across systems processes and geographies. Identify opportunities to enhance program maturity scalability and efficiency as Flywire grows. Contribute to broader internal audit strategy risk management initiatives and operational audits beyond SOX.
Innovator
Drive modernization of the SOX program through the use of data analytics automation and AI-enabled audit techniques. Champion continuous improvement by reducing manual effort increasing insight and strengthening coverage across IT and business processes.
Trusted Partner
Partner closely with Finance Technology Security Compliance and Business leaders globally. Validate control deficiencies agree remediation plans track issue closure and manage change effectively while maintaining Flywires strong control culture.
Qualifications :
Heres what we are looking for:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Information Technology or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
- 8 years of progressive experience in internal audit SOX or public accounting
- 2 years of demonstrated people-management or audit leadership experience
- Deep hands-on expertise in SOX ICFR IT and business process controls
- Strong working knowledge of SOX regulations COSO IIA standards COBIT and relevant accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS)
- Proven ability to lead complex audit programs manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication stakeholder-management and critical-thinking skills
- Professional certification required: CPA CIA CISA (or equivalent)
