Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support a Level 1 Emergency Department Float Pool in a fast-paced high-acuity clinical environment. This role requires flexibility strong patient-care skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Prior emergency or trauma experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care including vital signs hygiene assistance toileting feeding and mobility support
Serve as a safety companion for patients identified as fall or behavioral risks
Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Demonstrate understanding of patient growth and development across age groups
Collaborate effectively with nurses providers and interdisciplinary team members
Maintain a safe clean and organized patient-care environment
Participate in unit-based initiatives and quality improvement activities
Communicate clearly and professionally with patients families and healthcare team members
Accurately document and relay patient information per facility protocols
Adhere to ethical standards and participate in ongoing professional development
Qualifications
Active New York State CNA certification (required)
BLS certification (required)
Minimum 1 year of patient care experience
Emergency Department or Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
Ability to pass pre-employment health and compliance requirements
Strong communication teamwork and patient-centered care skills
