The Opportunity
A well-established Miami-based logistics company with an expanding presence in import/export and rail-related services is seeking a Director of Sales & Business Development to lead its next phase of commercial growth.

This role offers significant influence over commercial strategy market positioning and long-term revenue direction. The successful candidate will work both strategically and practically strengthening commercial leadership and driving growth in key markets by developing senior-level relationships and shaping the organizations positioning within the competitive logistics industry.

The Role
This is a hands-on commercial leadership role with direct responsibility for generating new revenue and expanding key customer relationships. As the Director of Sales & Business Development you will be responsible for:
  • Driving new business development across import export rail transloading and intermodal logistics services
  • Pursuing developing and closing new revenue opportunities within targeted markets
  • Contributing to the development and execution of a clear practical commercial strategy
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with partners and industry stakeholders
  • Leading solution-based sales efforts including rail-focused services
  • Leading contract discussions and commercial agreement negotiations with customers and strategic partners
  • Providing leadership structure and accountability within the commercial function
  • Representing the company at industry events and strategic growth forums
What Were Looking For:
  • 12 years of progressive leadership experience in commercial roles and business development within logistics transportation port operations rail or transloading services
  • Proven success leading sales teams and personally driving significant revenue growth in competitive markets
  • Strong working knowledge of logistics including:
    • Rail transloading and intermodal services
    • Drayage
    • Cross-docking warehousing and distribution services
    • Containerized cargo operations
  • Established industry network across railroads ports transportation providers and major shippers
  • Demonstrated experience leading sales initiatives and supervising commercial teams with accountability for performance and results
  • Track record of building long-term client relationships and converting opportunities into sustained revenue
  • Strong communication negotiation and relationship-management skills with the ability to engage at senior decision-making levels
  • Bachelors degree preferred; Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Valid US drivers license; Ability to pass background and reference checks
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $125000$135000 annually
  • Performance-based incentive structure
  • Benefits include PTO health insurance life insurance short-term and long-term disability insurance voluntary dental and vision insurance and a 401(k) with 6% employer match.
