Looking for a Commodity Specialist in Procurement. Must have 5-8 years of experience with a focus on sourcing strategies and supplier performance monitoring.

Location: Mbombela
Report to: Operations Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:
Sectors: Manufacturing
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for tactical non-category managed products.
- Analyze supply markets and demand patterns to inform decisions.
- Negotiate short- and medium-term commercial agreements.
- Draft and finalize supply and service level agreements.
- Collaborate with Legal to ensure compliance in agreement drafting.
- Ensure that procurement aligns with specifications and sourcing strategies.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for contract placement.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Mentor and monitor a procurement team. Build relationships share expertise and foster growth through regular open communication. Key steps include identifying gaps setting clear objectives and providing training and guidance while celebrating successes.
