We are seeking a proven results-oriented sales leader to own and scale our Admissions function while contributing to the institutions strategic growth. Neumont University is a small computer sciencefocused regionally accredited institution located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City Utah. Our fast-paced intense and collaborative environment is dedicated to educating mentoring and developing students into successful tech professionals. The Career Services Manager is responsible for implementation of student related Career Services activities at Neumont University including career preparation meetings and counseling job search preparation salary negotiation mock interview workshops coaching students on resumes job search tactics organizing Career Week activities and teaching the Career Readiness course.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Work with students on job search tactics employment planning setting expectations and final career preparations coaching students on interviewing and resume writing.
  • Remain current on market value for compensations.
  • Work with employers to identify best fit employment opportunities for Neumont graduates.
  • Host career services events including Career Weeks presentations interviews etc.
  • Work with Corporate Relations personnel in developing outreach strategies to build new recruiting relationships.
  • Teach a course on career preparation and job search tactics.
  • Maintain all graduate career services records to assure up-to-date and accurate student placement record keeping as required by ACICS ACCSC USDOE State and other governmental agencies.
  • Ensure that all required reports are completed accurately and timely and presented to the requesting director and/or supervisor.
  • Verify all Neumont job placements 1-6 weeks after each graduate begins new employment.
  • Administer 6-month follow-up surveys to assess graduate and employer satisfaction with Neumont training programs.
  • Set clear measurable goals for graduate employment and track metrics toward those goals.
  • Provide placement services to graduates who need re-placement services.

QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of four years career services or customer services experience.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Communications or Computer Science.
  • Experience and comfort developing and delivering presentations to small and large groups.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABIBILTIES REQUIRED

  • Impeccable interpersonal skills.
  • Superb written and verbal communication organization and business process development skills.
  • Must be a leader strategic thinker have creativity and initiative.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Must be enthusiastic and motivational with a sensitivity to students needs and interests.
  • Must be consistent in work performance and meeting deadlines.
  • Must not be afraid to embrace technology.

BONUS SKILLS

  • Experience in talent acquisition or recruiting including experience working with candidates on interview preparation resume development etc.
  • Familiarity with HigherEd reporting requirements preferred.
  • Experience working with and counseling students in a university setting.
  • Teaching experience a plus.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours a week. Occasional evenings and weekends with advance notice some travel.

REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer

SUPERVISES: None

PHYSICAL EXPECTATIONS:

  • Lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Sitting for extended periods
  • Standing for extended periods
