Job Summary

Our Client

Our client an energy company seeks to employ an Environment Social and Governance Associate.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development implementation and reporting of the companys ESG strategy and initiatives. Implement ESG strategy for the Group
Develop and manage the Sustainable Development Policy of the Group
Coordinate ESG activities and initiatives
Ensure awareness and training for the employees related to Sustainable Development
Ensure ESG reporting to line manager.
Ensure the follow-up of action plans for continuous improvement of ESG performance
Embed ESG into corporate strategy and operational processes.
Support the fire Safety Program
Support QHSE Management System implementation initiatives.
Governance & Compliance

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in environmental studies and sustainability or a related field
Minimum 5 years experience in sustainable development/ corporate social responsibility/environmental management/ governance/Ecology
Knowledge of carbon accounting and climate risk assessments and mitigation
Certificate in sustainable development is desirable.
Knowledge of sustainable Development goals and global compact from the United Nations
Knowledge of global Reporting initiatives; ISO 26000; IFC requirements
Knowledge of Regulations on ESG in Nigeria
