About the role

The First Nations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the delivery and coordination of First Nations programs and initiatives. This position ensures effective program administration project support event coordination and evaluation activities aligned with TACs First Nations Roadmap. Working closely with the First Nations function and broader PC&E team the role ensures that programs are delivered efficiently reporting is timely and accurate and continuous improvement is supported through evaluation and feedback mechanisms.

This role sits within the Culture and Inclusion branch within the broader People Culture and Engagement Division which enable and support a high-performance culture where people are capable and empowered to deliver exceptional results for our clients and community so that the TAC is positioned as an employer of choice.

Reporting to the First Nations Manager you will be supported by a team who live and breathe the importance of Inclusion and Diversity every day who deeply value lived experience and work to create a culturally safe and inclusive culture. You will be joining a team who works collaboratively to deliver enterprise-wide initiatives and focus on enhancing the employee experience for people of all backgrounds. What were looking for:

Demonstrated understanding of and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures histories and protocols.

Demonstrated understanding of and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures histories and protocols with the ability to work effectively and respectfully with First Nations communities and stakeholders.

Administration Experience

Proven experience in program or project administration including coordination of activities documentation and support across multiple stakeholders.

Organisational and time management skills

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities maintain attention to detail and work independently or as part of a team.
