  • Level 6/7: $94998 - $117633 (pro rata) 17% superannuation

The University of Wollongong (UOW) is seeking a passionate and experienced Neurodivergent Support Hub Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of our new Neurodivergent Support Hub (the Hub). This is a unique opportunity to help shape an inclusive neuro-affirming initiative designed to support neurodivergent students in achieving academic success wellbeing and a strong sense of belonging.

In this role you will combine student-facing support with strategic program leadership to build high-impact group and individual support programs including academic skills coaching peer mentoring and personalised study strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the co-design implementation and delivery of Hub programs both in-person and online.
  • Deliver training coaching supervision and ongoing development for peer coaches to ensure neuro-affirming high-quality service delivery.
  • Monitor and report on program engagement and outcomes for continuous improvement and accountability to funding bodies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective referral pathways and holistic support for students.
  • Uphold UOWs Values in Action and commit to advancing equity diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the role.

About You

You will be an inclusive practitioner with strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of neurodivergent experiences. You bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. Social Work Psychology Welfare Occupational Therapy) with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of neurodivergence (e.g. autism ADHD dyslexia) and neuro-affirming practice.
  • Lived experience as a neurodivergent person or extensive experience working in neurodivergent communities (highly regarded).
  • Experience developing coordinating and evaluating support programs across digital and in-person modalities.
  • Strong facilitation communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work autonomously.
