The Role
As a Backend Developer you will design and build the robust scalable backend systems that power innovative products for our global portfolio of clients. Youll be responsible for engineering high-performance APIs managing cloud infrastructure and ensuring the reliability of the entire server-side architecture.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to technical architecture by providing input on design and maintaining clear documentation.
- Participate in project planning by collaborating on task breakdown and providing accurate estimations for development work.
- Develop and implement software solutions by writing clean standards-compliant code and actively resolving technical challenges.
- Uphold high-quality standards by conducting thorough testing and actively participating in peer code reviews.
- Manage and document code effectively using source control systems to ensure clarity and maintain project integrity.
- Identify troubleshoot and resolve software defects to ensure the reliability and stability of the application.
- Prepare and release software builds for testing performing developer-level checks before submission to QA.
- Act as a technical liaison effectively communicating progress and escalating issues to team leads and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proficient in server-side development or Java with experience in cloud platforms like AWS or Azure being a major plus.
- A solid understanding of OOP principles design patterns and current industry best practices.
- Help ensure high-quality code through unit testing debugging and active participation in peer code reviews.
- A skilled detail-oriented problem-solver with experience working independently to deliver reliable solutions.
- Contribute effectively to project planning through task estimation and consistently deliver work to meet project deadlines.
- Clearly communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders providing technical input and progress reports to project leads.
- A passion for continuous improvement shown by a desire to keep your skills and technical knowledge up-to-date.
