Job Summary

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Director to provide leadership to the Deal Support Team as well as oversee the day-to-day operations of the Lead Generation Outreach Center. This role manages various functions across VEDP including the Governors Call Program and the VEDP Lead Generation Calendar. The Director supports the execution of comprehensive lead generation strategies that successfully result in contact with target companies setting of meetings with target companies and the attainment of VEDPs lead generation metrics and ultimately VEDPs top-level annual goals for capital investment and job creation in the Commonwealth.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture that is professional collaborative results-oriented creative and fully focused and accountable for delivering on VEDPs mission in coordination with and under the direction of the Vice President Marketing & Communications
  • Coach and develop team members providing ongoing performance feedback and support
  • Establish performance plans and metrics for each team member
  • Advance outreach efforts beyond calls and emails to ensure adoption of digital applications to drive more comprehensive outreach efforts
  • Oversee Strategic Engagement Managers handling of the annual Lead Generation Calendar
  • Develop yearly Lead Generation Marketing campaign schedule that supports the fiscal year lead generation calendar of events and other VEDP outreach activities
  • Coordinate with Lead Generation Teams regarding appointment schedules and outreach patterns to be used for each campaign
  • Manage record assignments and outreach patterns for the Deal Support Team for all campaigns
  • Execute an annual training plan new employee onboarding training and training on outreach processes outreach applications and the annual lead generation calendar application
  • Ensure Deal Support Team adheres to Salesforce data integrity policy guidelines and usage procedures
  • Work with the Salesforce Team to improve the Salesforce environment develop solutions and streamline work processes for more efficient and clearer functionality

Skills:

  • Experience using lead generation marketing applications such as Salesforce LinkedIn Sales Navigator HubSpot Zoominfo CB Insights and Alpha Sense
  • Proven ability to lead a team to generate results and outcomes in time-sensitive situations
  • Proven ability to foster a team culture of results-focus accountability professionalism dependability and collaboration
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with leaders across an organization to attain annual organizational goals
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce

Experience:

  • 7 years of experience in marketing outreach and/or sales development
  • 5 years of experience in team leadership and project management of equal or greater scale
  • Experience in the development application and attainment of annual organizational performance metrics
