Role Purpose
- Financial Partnership: Collaborate with theDirector ofMaintenance andEngineering Director of IT& Digitaland Director PeopleandrespectiveLeadershipteamsto enhance financial awareness among teams ensuring informed a deep understanding of engineering operationsobjectives challenges and key drivers to inform business performance discussions.
- Financial Reporting: Ensureaccuratepreparation and compliance of financial reports with accounting principles group policies and statutory requirements. Ensuretimelyaccrual of the cost and expenses in various business units.
- Process Enhancements: Proactivelyidentifyand implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the team.
- Performance Review: Partner with the Director ofMaintenance and Engineering/IT& Digital/PPL to set up and coordinate the Departments Business Performance Review and associated KPIs. Facilitate theBusiness Unitsto complete the seniorleadershipbusiness review meetings.
- Decision support: Provide monthly business performance analysis and trends to support management business insights to the BU leaders to enable the team to makebestdecisions.
- Business Investment Support:Assistin developing business cases for project investments including IRR/NPV analysis and evaluating financial implications and project risks.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and manage the annual budget monthly forecasts and a 10-year financial plan (including P&L Balance Sheet and Cash Flow).
- Risk management:Take the leadin preparing for interim and annual audits for engineering and enhance financial control measures within the Engineering/IT/PPLdepartment.
- Digitalisation:Provide support for ad hoc projects as assigned including digital transformation resolvingaccountingand engineering system integration issues and assessing the financial risks and benefits of engineering initiatives.
Qualifications
- Degree holder preferably in Business/Finance/Economics/Accounting or relevant discipline
- Qualified accountant with CPA/ACCA/CAtitle or equivalent
- At least8years of working experience.
- Deep working knowledge of/experience with key financial tools such as NPVROCEcash flowactivity-basedcosting accounting fundamentals etc.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English with strong presentation and influencing skills applicable to all levels within the organization.
- Self-starterwilling totake the initiative and accept responsibility; able towork independentlyanalyse complex data and summarize in a concise manner providing meaningful business recommendations.
- Experience with Big Four firms or an aviation engineering background is preferred though notrequired.
