The Grants team within Strategic Priorities and Coordination division is currently seeking to temporarily appoint a Manager Contestable Grants to lead and manage the team. This role is responsible for overseeing the design delivery and governance of contestable grant programs for the NSW Environmental Trust. This includes leading the assessment of applications funds management and project delivery in line with robust probity risk and performance frameworks.

The position ensures transparent financial management across the grants lifecycle coordinates reporting and regional engagement and provides high-quality advice and documentation for Trust Boards and Ministers including submissions briefings and correspondence on complex and sensitive matters.

About You
You are an experienced people leader with a strong background in managing a diverse and dynamic team with complex grant programs or similar initiatives within a high-governance environment. You are comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy setting priorities managing workloads and making sound day-to-day decisions for yourself and your team. You bring a proven ability to establish and oversee robust governance budget and performance management frameworks and you are accountable for delivering high-quality accurate and credible advice.

You have demonstrated experience in issues management and strategic planning with a track record of delivering outcomes in complex and often time-critical environments. You are skilled in developing implementing and monitoring operational plans and in providing clear direction while providing guidance and support to a geographically dispersed team. You are a confident communicator and leader who values integrity collaboration and continuous improvement.
