** Starting Salary: $42009 Annually **
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
North Carolinas House Representative for District 14 Wyatt Gable is seeking a highly qualified professional to work as a Legislative Clerk in his office. Legislative Clerks assist Legislators also known as Legislative Members of the Representative in fulfilling their public obligations by providing support services in the areas of administration communication research and public relations. This position requires a high level of organization and accountability as well as the ability to perform independently and maintain composure in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
This position is a permanent full-time position. Days of work are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However when the House of Representatives is in session evening work may be necessary on Monday through Thursday and occasionally weekend work may be required as the job duties demand based on the needs of Representative Gable. This position is under the direct supervision of the Representative and has no direct supervisory responsibilities unless requested by the Member to assist in the supervision of an intern.
