What awaits you/ Job Profile

As a Junior Consultant in SAP Technical Platform Management you will support the technical operations and maintenance of the SAP platform. Working closely with senior team members you will assist in Technical Lifecycle Management (TLM) performance and data volume management and system monitoring to ensure a stable efficient and scalable SAP environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on experience and grow expertise in SAP technical platform management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in Technical Lifecycle Management (TLM) activities such as SAP system installations upgrades patching and maintenance under supervision.
• Support monitoring of SAP system performance and data volume growth; help identify and escalate performance issues or data management challenges.
• Participate in the setup and operation of SAP monitoring tools (e.g. SAP Solution Manager Focused Run) to ensure continuous system health and availability.
• Help analyze system logs and alerts to detect potential technical issues and support troubleshooting efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SAP Basis infrastructure and application teams to support daily SAP platform operations.
• Document processes configurations and incident resolutions to contribute to team knowledge and compliance.
• Stay updated on SAP technical platform best practices and emerging technologies.
• Support junior and senior team members in ad hoc technical platform tasks and projects.

What should you bring along

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Basic understanding of SAP systems and technical platform management concepts.
• Familiarity with SAP Technical Lifecycle Management (TLM) principles.
• Exposure to SAP system performance and data volume considerations.
• Initial experience or interest in SAP monitoring tools such as SAP Solution Manager or Focused Run.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise in SAP platform management.

Must have technical skill

• Basic Knowledge of SAP Technical Lifecycle Management (TLM): Understanding of SAP system installation upgrade patching and maintenance processes.
• Fundamental Skills in Performance and Data Volume Management: Ability to assist in monitoring and supporting SAP system performance and managing data growth.
• Familiarity with SAP Monitoring Tools: Exposure to SAP monitoring platforms such as SAP Solution Manager or Focused Run to support system health checks and basic issue identification.

Good to have technical skills

1. Basic Scripting or Automation Skills: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash PowerShell or Python to assist in automating routine tasks.
2. Understanding of SAP HANA Database Concepts: Basic knowledge of SAP HANA architecture and database management principles.
3. Exposure to Cloud and Hybrid SAP Environments: Awareness of SAP deployments in cloud platforms (e.g. SAP Cloud Platform AWS Azure).
4. Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) Tools: Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow to support incident and change management processes.
5. Fundamentals of IT Security and Compliance: Basic understanding of security principles and compliance requirements related to SAP platform management.
6. Understanding of SAP Security and Compliance: Basic knowledge of SAP security implications related to platform management and compliance requirements.
7. Experience with ITIL and Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and agile project management practices to enhance delivery and support processes.
