We would like to present you with an exciting opportunity for a Health Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our friendly team in Telford on a full time permanent basis!
Working hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Salary: per annum.
As a Health Safety and Compliance Coordinator you will contribute to the growing success of CML Telford and be responsible for maintaining and developing the H&S and Food Safety for the site.
Key Duties of a Health Safety and Compliance Coordinator:
- Assessing and creating Risk Assessments and ensuring the control and mitigation measures identified are implemented and maintained effectively.
- Creating reviewing and maintaining SSOWs and other policies/procedures.
- Contractor control - controlling of permits to work and reviewing RAMs for contractors on-site.
- Playing an active role in monthly meetings meeting preparation action taking attending/assisting meetings closing out of actions and driving improvements.
- Maintenance of appropriate databases software tools and shared drives.
- Supporting where required with accident/incident investigations root causes actions close outs and trend analysis.
- Assessing Control of Systems Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
- Maintaining role of Fire Marshalls and Roll Callers and training on Evacuation procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with BRCGS standards.
- Assisting with completion of and leading external and internal audits to ensure compliance supporting the Health Safety and Compliance Manager.
- Responsible for ensuring that non-conformances actions and recommendations from all audits and investigations are managed accordingly and closed out appropriately.
- Other duties as reasonably required
Qualifications :
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong concise and effective communicator at all levels.
- Good time management skills with the ability and desire to provide solutions and promote best practice.
- Have a good working knowledge within a Warehouse and Logistics operation.
- IOSH qualified NEBOSH preferable.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation good working practices Regulatory inspections/servicing compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
- Experience of creating Safe Systems of Work Risk Assessments etc. is desirable.
- Have experience applying Root Cause and Trend Analysis.
- Experience of Health & Safety and BRCGS audits.
