The Technical Manager will directly supervise all entry and mid-level staff to ensure their successful support of the U.S. Navys Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program on-base. This position is critical to the success of FWGs partnership with the U.S. Navy. This position will manage all activities and the staff in an assembly function including a variety of product assembly operations on product components assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage the activities and staff in an assembly function including electronic electro-mechanical mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components assemblies or sub-assemblies
Follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring component installation hand soldering cable harnessing and welding/fitting on assembly units
Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications
Establish and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes milling machines shapers planers and precision grinders to make metal parts mechanisms tools or machines to exact tolerances and dimensions
Interpret blueprints sketches and engineering specifications
Determine sequence of operations number of cuts required and method of setup
Ability to use a variety of machinists hand tools and precision measuring instruments
Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work tooling feeds and speed
Measure mark and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining
Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment and determine material parts and equipment required
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
Develop and maintain professional results-oriented relationships that strengthen FWGs reputation and support positive outcomes through documented communication timely response and issue resolution
Anticipate customer concerns and engage early to mitigate risk resolve performance issues and uphold FWGs record of quality and reliability
Ensure all personnel maintain required certifications training and clearance eligibility
Foster a culture of accountability collaboration and mission focus across the team
Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications
Education:
High School Degree Required
Associates Degree in Electronics Technology Information Technology or related technical field Required
Relevant Military Technical Training Program (ex. Navy Electronics Technician Marine Corps Communications Technician etc.) required
Licenses & Certifications:
Active Secret Security Clearance
Experience:
8 years of experience in electronics troubleshooting repair and maintenance of complex electronic and IT systems
3 years of experience on naval C4N systems and LCAC platform systems
Solid understanding of electronics theory troubleshooting methodologies and network fundamentals required
Proficiency with using multimeters oscilloscopes signal generators spectrum analyzers and other advanced electronic test equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex electronic and network issues in a timely manner
Experience with US Navy Groom procedures and Technical Assists a plus
