What will I be doing
The Cluster Chief Accountant will support all financial accounting and operational tasks in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Uniform System of Accounts and Hilton policies and procedures. Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Supervise manage and maintain the books of the hotel(s) for the Cluster Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all transactions for the various accounts and ensure proper recording in the books on a timely manner Ensure the month-end closing process is completed and the timely preparation of all required financial reports Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing of the books of accounts Ensure that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled cleared and properly supported within timeline Ensure reports are completed correctly and on time and prepare monthly financial statements for distribution. Fully conversant with the Hiltons standard Chart of Accounts and the correct use Ensure that the accounting records comply with local laws and regulations and Hilton Policies and Procedures Consolidation and submission of monthly Withholding Tax and VAT return for the group of hotels and Owning company Handle inter-company transactions and reconciliations Handle and maintain FF&E / CAPEX spent vs budget and recording of asset purchases Assist in the preparation and completion of forecasts and budgets as required Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules required by management and owners Thoroughly familiar with the duties and procedures of other team members within the Finance department over whom the role has supervision Hands on and take an active role in daily activities within the department ensure that all work is up to date and assist team members where and when required Assist coordinate and communicate with other departments on accounting related matters and internal controls Assist and coordinate the internal and external audit process Assist in ensuring compliance with legal and taxation legislation Be familiar and up to date with all Hilton Finance policies Support the management in providing financial information to assist in any decision-making process Participate in performance reviews and actively contribute to team members development and training programs Coordinate departmental leave and organize the coverage of tasks during team members absence Ensure that all internal applicable accounting control procedures are adhered to and communicate areas for improvements to the Finance lead Maintain an adequate and up to date filing system for related financial records Assume additional accounting responsibilities in the absence of the CDOF and Assistant CDOF. Handle all requests and enquiries in a timely efficient and friendly manner Perform any additional tasks as and when assigned |
What are we looking for
To successfully fill this role you should possess the qualifications skills and values that follow:
University preferred Finance degree in Accounting & Management.
Must be a member of Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA)
At least 3 years of working experience as General Ledger Supervisor or higher in the hospitality industry
Solid working experience in hotel accounting with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial/supervisory operational accounting role
Mature and reliablewith positive working mindset
Thorough knowledge of federal state and local accounting laws and tax laws
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Flexible with working hours to meet monthly/annual deadlines
Fluent in both written and spoken English for business needs
