This 10week internship at AWP Safetys corporate headquarters in North Canton Ohio places interns directly into the heart of Field HR operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with employee relations investigations documentation and follow-up.
- Supporting HR processes for our field workforce including onboarding compliance and performance conversations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teamsSafety Operations Talent Acquisition and Legalto support HR initiatives that impact frontline employees.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment is comfortable interacting with a diverse hourly workforce and is eager to develop the confidence and judgement needed in Field HR.
Qualifications :
- Rising junior or senior enrolled in a bachelors program or a current masters student; HRrelated coursework preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Ability to remain composed professional and solution-focused when handling sensitive or urgent employee situations.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
- Willingness to work on-site and in the field; must provide personal steeltoed boots.
- Demonstrated resilience grit and an operations-first mentality.
- Prior experience in customer service field work or HR support roles preferred.
