Carries out the duties and responsibilities supportive of and complementary to the welfare and care of the OMFS patients

18. Assists with surgical scheduling of OMFS patients
19. May scribe for surgeon in EMR
20. Provides instruction and information to patients
21. Assumes clerical responsibilities of the clinic where necessary
22. Greets and registers patients prepares and processes appropriate forms directs patients to appropriate areas and arranges transportation needs
23. Screens incoming calls takes and responds to messages as well as responds to inquiries regarding department procedures services and programs
appointments and completes pre-registration via telephone including insurance verification and full patient demographics collection over the telephone or in person using computerized system(s) with accountability for the integrity of the data

26. Performs routine cash collections at time of service.
27. Completes forms and requisitions as needed managing charts to ensure information is completed and filed appropriately. Assists in the creation and maintenance of medical charts.

Two to four years dental assisting experience preferred.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Certified Dental Assistant from Accredited School
