Job Summary

Duties:

Assists in providing dental services including: preparing patients for exam/treatment; sterilizing instruments maintaining equipment mixing amalgams cements composites taking dental x-rays maintaining records performing assigned lab procedures.

Skills:

Experience as a receptionist or clerk in a dentists office is not acceptable towards meeting the qualification requirements.

Education:

A four-year High School diploma or its educational equivalent including or supplemented by a course of study consisting of at least 600 instructional hours at an approved school for Dental Assistants.
OR -A four year High School diploma or its educational equivalent including or supplemented by a course of study consisting of at least 300 instructional hours at an approved school for Dental Assistants plus six (6) months full-time satisfactory experience as a Dental Assistant performing all of the following duties: taking developing and mounting dental radiographs assisting dentist at chairside sterilizing dental instrument using autoclave.
OR -A four-year High School diploma or its educational equivalent plus one (1) year of full-time satisfactory experience as a Dental Assistant performing the duties described in second requirement mentioned above.
OR -A satisfactory combination of education and experience which is equivalent to requirements mentioned above.
However all candidates must have at least a four-year High School diploma or GED.

Schedule Notes:

Shift varies: based on operational needs 8:00-4:00 / 9:00-5:00 / 11:00-7:00 including Rotating Saturdays.
