Job Summary

Job Title: Civil Engineer Piling Department

Location: Lagos Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Project Manager / Construction Manager

Qualification: BSc or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience: 3 7 years of proven experience in piling and foundation works.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer (Piling Department) to plan supervise and deliver piling and foundation works on active construction sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all piling operations are executed in strict compliance with approved designs technical specifications quality requirements and health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage all piling activities including bored piling driven piling and pile load testing.
Ensure piling works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings method statements and technical specifications.
Monitor pile installation processes including pile depth verticality alignment reinforcement placement and concrete quality.
Coordinate piling subcontractors site engineers equipment operators and support teams to ensure smooth site operations.
Prepare update and maintain accurate piling records daily site reports and as-built documentation.
Review and interpret soil investigation reports geotechnical data and piling design requirements to guide site execution.
Identify analyze and resolve technical issues and site challenges related to piling and foundation works.
Ensure full compliance with Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and enforce safe working practices on site.
Liaise with consultants clients and QA/QC teams during inspections testing and approvals of piling activities.
Monitor material usage equipment productivity and manpower to support cost control and project schedule adherence.

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience working on building infrastructure or marine construction projects.
Strong knowledge of piling methods equipment materials and construction techniques.
Ability to read interpret and apply structural and geotechnical drawings.
Experience in site documentation reporting and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong problem-solving communication and leadership skills.
