Position SummaryParker Academy is seeking a full-time Middle School ELA Teacher to join our team. This is a teaching position responsible for delivering English Language Arts instruction to small groups of middle school students in a therapeutic school addition to ELA this role will include teaching other core subjects such as social studies within a small-group integrated classroom content knowledge is important it is not enough on its own. We are looking for educators who know how to make reading and writing engaging accessible and meaningful for students who may have struggled in traditional settings. Our students benefit from creative approaches to literacy including role-playing discussion creative arts movement experiential projects and relationship-based learning. Worksheets and tests are often a fast way to increase anxiety and not always the best way to assess what students know and can is not a traditional ELA classroom.
