We are seeking a strong Employee Relations Partner to join our Amazon Australia operations team. The central objective of Amazons global operations employee relations team is to ensure our organisations treatment of employees is fair respectful and consistent with our framework of core business values and objectives. To support that objective this positions responsibilities fall into proactive and reactive categories focused on providing exceptional employee experience.
You will have deep subject matter knowledge exceptional communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally on a wide range of employee relations initiatives.
This is a highly visible and varied role with common interactions with senior leadership. The successful candidate will influence decision making and direct the business into the future.
This role will involve approximately 50% travel.
Key job responsibilities
Advocating for the best interests of associates and assist in building long-term relationships across diverse teams
Partner and influence Site Leaders when necessary to ensure a positive associate experience
Partner with Site Leaders and HR teams to create and sustain positive employee relations programs and best practices tailored to business needs
Adapting global tools and programs to fit the Australian environment
Conduct and collaborate on positive employee relations trainings and communications
Design collect and analyse multiple levels of associate feedback
Work with other stakeholders to implement systems and processes for identifying potential issues before they become problems
Analyse diagnose design and revise people programs policies and practices to sustain positive employee relations
Supporting Operations and HR with Case Management escalations
Assist and drive large scale country-wide projects that improve the associate experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Experience in employee relations labor relations or labor/employment law
- Experience analyzing metrics and assessing employee sentiment data to find root causes and develop short- medium- and long-term plans
- Experience with MS Word Excel Access & PowerPoint and ability to become proficient in HTML
- An understanding of the Fair Work Act Modern Awards and other State and Federal laws
- Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams
- Experience in a fast paced dynamic organization
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
- High-quality judgment and sound decision-making
