Job Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Quality Manager by working within the QC Team in Fabrication and Powdercoat. This includes managing the workloads of the QC function monitoring reworks and providing assistance as may be required with the aim of ensuring consistent quality across areas within Hidrive.

It is important to strive to ensure that every possible defect is captured before delivery to the next customer thereby ensuring delivery of an awesome customer experience to all our customers.

Main accountabilities

Assist the Quality Manager in ensuring Fabrication and Powdercoat teams deliver a consistent and acceptable level of quality
Conduct QC checks
Work closely with the Quality Manager as required to assist QC process improvements
Complete the daily activities of hands-on QC inspections in the Fabrication and Powdercoat stop gates
Maintain a closed loop process for internal Quality Control to ensure that every quality defect is captured rectified a root cause identified and that corrective action is initiated to ensure there is no recurrence
Participate in regular QC meetings then action items resulting from the meetings
Provide feedback to all Stop Gates as needed
Provide relief/assistance across the Goulburn Operation for other QC Team Members as necessary

About You

The role requires a passionate organised and attentive to detail Quality Control team member with a keen eye for detail who is reliable trustworthy and committed to delivering a Quality product to the next customer.
You must be able to read work orders thoroughly to ensure that nothing is missed and the next customer receives the products required fitted where required.
You must be willing to make decisions on potential quality issues and requesting rework.
You are able to understand the importance of testing parts function as per work orders.

Experience needed

2 years experience in a similar role within Hidrive
