As the Downer Cleaning and Waste Trainer at the Royal Adelaide Hospital you will be scheduling your own work to meet required timelines and outputs requested by the business. Training a dedicated team of commercial cleaners requires successfully maintaining the continuity of high-quality work standards and identifying and mitigating potential risks allowing to further strengthen the service delivery
This is a Full Time Monday to Friday position.
What youll do:
- Development of Cleaning & Waste annual training plan and schedule
- Develop update and maintain supporting documents including training documents and templates
- Facilitation of training sessions aligned with the developed program and training needs analysis
- On-boarding of new Cleaning & Waste employees by facilitating initial and ongoing training requirements
- Management of attendance records for audit and compliance purposes
- Provide timely reports as required to the Cleaning & Waste Supervisors Coordinators and Management teams
- Ensure continuous feedback is collected to enhance training delivery for the Cleaning & Waste teams
- Conduct refresher training sessions with existing staff where required as identified by performance management or incident related issues
- Continual improvement of training material in line with updated best practice methods CALHN guidelines and internal policies and procedures
- Engage proactively through EPR audits and other monitoring tools to improve individual and team performance by identifying and fulfilling training needs
What youll bring:
- Qualifications of Year 12 or higher
- A qualification in IV Training and Assessment is preferred and will be highly regarded
- A working understanding of Hospital Hygiene Practices relevant to cleaning and waste management
- High level of professionalism integrity and ability to work effectively independently and as part of a wit team
Please note:As a pre-requisite for this role successful candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical as well as provide an up-to-date National Police Clearance
