Essential Job Functions
- Collaborates with university leadership and internal university departments to identify and prioritize fundraising initiatives and develop targeted cultivation and solicitation strategies
- Manages a portfolio of major gifts and other prospects including identifying qualifying cultivating soliciting and stewarding donors to attain fundraising goals
- Cultivates and stewards relationships with community partners alumni and donors to increase engagement and philanthropic support for the university
- Collaborates with university leadership on the planning and execution of fundraising events including donor recognition events and community engagement activities
- Develops and implements outreach and communication strategies in collaboration with university leadership to promote the universitys initiatives and fundraising campaigns and enhance the universitys brand and reputation
- Serves as a liaison between the university and the local community fostering positive relationships and seeking opportunities for collaboration and partnerships
- Maintains accurate and comprehensive records of donor and community partner interactions using a donor database system
- Tracks fundraising progress and monitors metrics
- Prepares and monitors departmental budget
- Supervises and develops the department staff facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities department goals and established university campus and department policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelors degree
- Moderate amount of experience working in advancement fundraising strategic planning campaigns leadership or other related experience
