About the Role
As a Portfolio Strategy Analyst you will be responsible for developing the product portfolios and future-looking plans to ensure business success across our International Markets Group (IMG) Middle East Africa Asia Pacific ASEAN and APDM. You will play a pivotal role in the product lifecycle (Cycle Plan) understanding local customer needs navigating regional regulatory environments and planning vehicle and powertrain options.
This position reports to the IMG Portfolio Strategy Manager and is based across our National Sales Company in Richmond (3 days) and at our International Market Group Product Development Centre in Broadmeadows (1 day) Melbourne operating under a hybrid work arrangement (1 day from home).
Strategic Alignment: Supporting the up-front development of the IMG product portfolio ensuring every vehicle plan delivers winning products is affordable feasible and aligned with global profitability targets.
Regional Expertise: Responsible for tailoring powertrain and technology offerings to the specific needs of the marketsnavigating everything from local fuel quality to complex emissions regulations.
Global Integration: Act as the bridge between regional customers and global engineering teams ensuring regional requirements are embedded in our global product DNA.
Future Growth: Identify opportunities for new revenue streams and partnerships that will define Fords success in the international digital and aftermarket landscape.
Operational Excellence: Lead the smooth execution of the initial phase of vehicle programs by delivering on critical milestones and supporting cross-functional workstreams.
Education: Bachelors degree in engineering Business or equivalent.
Experience: 3 year in the automotive industry experience is essential specifically regarding vehicle attributes.
Preferred Experience: Prior success in Cycle Planning Strategy Planning Finance or Product Marketing is highly regarded.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse data think strategically and apply business acumen to solve complex problems.
Collaboration: Proven ability to work individually or within diverse teams across different cultures and functions.
Communication: Mastery of storytelling and presentation techniques to convey strategic points of view.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: A proactive approach to identifying and developing new business opportunities.
Curious mindset: A desire to constantly learn and keep updated with the industry trends regulations and technologies.
