About the team:

The Strategy Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the ASX Listings & Markets business by uncovering market opportunities and delivering strategic insights that drive innovation and growth. Through rigorous analysis and effective business management this role empowers the business to make informed decisions ensuring ASX remain a leader in global capital markets.

This role a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Listings and Markets business by uncovering market opportunities and delivering strategic insights that drives sustainable operation of critical market infrastructure innovation and growth.

Listings & Markets is responsible for:

• Origination of listed primary and secondary equity and debt and investment products

• Creation and quotation of equity commodity and interest rate derivatives

• Cash market and derivatives trading

• Clearing for exchange traded futures options and OTC products Listings & Markets account $500m in annual revenue.

The Business Management and Strategy team supports the operations and growth of the Listings & Markets business.

What you will be doing:

• Support the development and execution of the business strategy.

• Research domestic and global markets to understand industry trends policy settings and potential growth opportunities.

• Analyse diverse data sets and generate insights to facilitate strategic decision making and business operations.

• Project manage and draft periodic reporting on business performance and strategic initiatives.

• Assist with preparation of discussion board and strategic offsite papers.

• Produce high quality and compelling presentation materials to support business development and marketing efforts.

• Draft responses to inbound media enquiries with a focus on highlighting ASXs key strengths and value proposition.

What you will bring:

Must have

• Tertiary qualifications in economics finance business strategy or related field.

• 1-3 years post-graduate experience in commercial reporting data analytics business management corporate finance corporate strategy or financial services.

• Strong data analysis skills; ability to synthesize information into clear actionable insights.

• Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills.

• Attention to detail.

• Outstanding organisation skills initiative curiosity and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.

Nice to have:

• Experience with financial data systems including Iress Capital IQ Bloomberg Dealogic Morningstar.

• Familiarity with principles of equity and debt capital markets.
