Position Summary:
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate the ability to plan model deliver and develop rich standards-based student-centered learning experiences
Identify and apply relevant educational research-based instructional strategies
Develop engaging and differentiated lessons assignments and assessments
Utilize relevant technology and resources for optimal engagement and differentiation
Manage student behavior through positive behavior interventions and support
Support social-emotional and character education strategies to facilitate student development in self and social awareness and responsible decision-making
Provide timely appropriate and actionable feedback to students
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
Engage in research activities to further the schools mission and to generate advancements in teaching and learning
Maintain and utilize accurate and comprehensive documentation and evidence of students progress and development
Communicate regularly with students colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs
Participate and engage in professional learning experiences that support professional growth and collaboration with colleagues
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institutionValid Florida Educators Certificate in K-6 or valid Florida Department of Education Statement of Eligibility in K-6
Preferred:
Knowledge and experience in implementing workshop-style of instruction

Transcripts:
Final candidate will be required to have official sealed transcripts and original NACES evaluation if applicable sent from their educational institution to Human Resources prior to the start of employment.
Background Screening:
Selected candidates must successfully complete and pass all employment screenings prior to the start of employment. Employment screenings may include a criminal background check (level I and level II) motor vehicle check credit check reference checks alcohol and drug screening check.
The candidate selected for the position will be required to have fingerprinting done at the FAU Police Department and a background check done by the school.
