You will safely operate a front-end loader to support batch plant production efficiency. You will follow all plant safety procedures ensure consistent and effective equipment operation and perform regular maintenance to keep machinery in optimal working condition.

What you will be doing

  • Operate front-end loader to move materials between aggregate stockpiles storage bins hoppers and haul trucks to support efficient plant operations.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels and organized stockpiles within the yard and bin areas.
  • Oversee batching operations ensuring product quality accurate mixes and proper inventory levels
  • Inspect and verify raw materials adjusting batch weights and quantities as needed to meet specifications
  • Assist in batching and end of day wrap-up
  • Collect aggregate load tickets and submit them daily to the batch office.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance including cleaning fueling greasing and completing daily service inspections.
  • Assist with additional maintenance tasks such as cleaning bins washout ponds (if applicable) and other plant areas.
  • Support a safe and efficient workplace by maintaining clean organized work areas and participating in regular housekeeping duties.
  • Follow all company policies procedures and applicable safety and quality standards including OSHA regulations.
  • Report potential hazards promote a strong safety culture and actively participate in safety meetings and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth plant operations.

What we would like from you

  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to work irregular hours including scheduled Saturdays.
  • Skilled in the safe operation of power tools welders cutting torches chains and related safety equipment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
  • Related industry experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a plant environment is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Location and other key details:

  • This is a full-time permanent field-based position at our Pueblo Plant 2610 N Santa Fe Ave Pueblo CO 81003
  • Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
  • Must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions and challenging outdoor environments
  • This is a safety sensitive position offers of employment are conditional on successful completion of fitness for duty assessments including drug and alcohol screening and a criminal background check
  • Frequent sitting and use of fine motor skills such as manual dexterity hand / eye coordination and active hearing and vision
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes vests and glasses ear plugs and hard hats with additional PPE for special jobs as required

    Salary Range: $25 and up with Experience
