About the role
We are seeking an experienced academic leader to serve as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at a relatively new growth-stage institution. The role combines academic leadership with faculty development and external engagement shaping engineering education aligned to Cambodias and the regions evolving digital economy including AI Data Science and Software Engineering.
Who this role is for
This role suits a builder-oriented academic leader who is comfortable working in a developing institutional environment. The ideal candidate will have had exposure to creating structure mentoring academic staff and strengthening research and industry engagement including support for grants partnerships or sponsored initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic academic leadership for the Faculty.
- Recruit mentor and manage academic staff.
- Lead curriculum development and academic quality processes.
- Build partnerships with industry government and international stakeholders.
- Support applied research and external funding initiatives.
- Ensure effective academic governance and continuous improvement.
- Represent the Faculty internally and externally.
Requirements
- PhD in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Senior academic leadership experience.
- Strong curriculum leadership and academic quality background.
- Exposure to partnerships grants or fundraising is an advantage.
- Strong communication and multicultural leadership skills.
