The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention protection and preparation as well as the care custody and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes state prisons with custody healthcare and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. Other divisions include Administration Health Services Rehabilitation & Reentry Special Operations and the Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission. We have a mission that matters!
Description of Work
This position of Correction Enterprise Supervisor II is responsible for training offenders in the safe proper and most efficient operation of equipment and practices utilized in a sewing manufacturing operation while ensuring quality and quantity standards in accordance with applicable laws policies and regulations.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range: $37782 - $66120

Minimum Education and Experience

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and a minimum of two years of related industry/service experience

Plant Specific Special Requirements
Agriculture - NC Pesticide License and NC Wastewater License
Cannery Low Acid and Acidified Food Production certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
Laundry - Certified Professional Laundry Manager or Certified Laundry and Linen Manager certification.
Braille - Certified Braille Transcriber certificate must be obtained within 18 months of hire.
