Job Summary

Philanthropy - Event CoordinatorThe opportunity:Reporting to the Manager of Major Gifts and Planned Giving the Coordinator Events will play a vital role in the YMCA and be responsible for an annual event fundraising program of approximately $200000. This role will lead the coordination of the annual Peer-to-Peer Event YMCA Annual Gala and third-party fundraising events including relationships with donors participants volunteers and note: This is a 12-18 month contract covering a this role you will: Show strong support for YMCAs mission and or exceed annual fundraising sponsorships for monetary and in-kind and organize teams for successful fundraising revenue strategies and maintain accurate donor event wrap-up and reporting with committee YMCA representation and provide briefing notes for community YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka in the integrated fundraising and the donor staff participation in signature events and donor and build positive relationships with volunteers and corporate sponsorship efforts at the community results and prepare reports for future bring:Preferred: College/University Degree or diploma/certificate in fundraising or related field or a combination of education and experience.2-5 years of fundraising to inspire teamwork influence without authority and achieve common in website and social media in handling sensitive data with utmost self-motivated resourceful and able to work in project management setting priorities budgeting and time attention to detail accuracy and relationship-building proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).Experience with database management preferably Raisers for a fast-paced environment with a desire to learn and grow through work at the Y:At the YMCA of Simcoe Muskoka we believe in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members and staff.
