Eastgate Surgery Center is an ambulatory surgery center located in Cincinnati Ohio. With four procedure rooms the center provides high-quality cost-effective outpatient surgical and procedural care primarily for GI and Endoscopies.

Role Summary
The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for the cleaning high-level disinfection maintenance and inventory control of endoscopic instruments equipment and reusable medical supplies in accordance with nationally recognized standards regulatory requirements and center policies to support safe high-quality patient care.
Hours: Monday- Friday 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
What Youll Do
Perform cleaning decontamination inspection and high-level disinfection of endoscopic instruments and equipment
Demonstrate knowledge of reprocessing equipment and proper use within the processing area
Use monitor and document chemical disinfectants according to policy and manufacturer guidelines
Follow established protocols for decontaminating cleaning flushing and disinfecting endoscopic equipment
Inspect instruments and equipment for functionality and integrity
Track loaned instruments and equipment to ensure completeness and timely return
Maintain accurate documentation related to reprocessing and chemical monitoring
Collaborate with clinical staff to review and revise charge systems as needed
Maintain inventory of endoscopy supplies and equipment
Follow all safety infection control and regulatory requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
What Youll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge of endoscopy reprocessing and high-level disinfection standards required.
Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Prior healthcare endoscopy or sterile processing experience preferred
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Frequent standing walking and patient-care activities
Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs (occasionally up to 40 lbs; rarely up to 100 lbs)
Regular interaction with patients of varying ages in a fast-paced clinical environment
Exposure to bloodborne pathogens radiation and chemical hazards consistent with the surgical setting
