As a full-time employee you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of the hospital. Key Responsibilities: - Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures including blood tests urinalysis and microbiological cultures accurately and efficiently - Operate and maintain laboratory equipment ensuring proper functioning and calibration - Prepare and analyze samples recording and reporting results to medical staff - Maintain accurate records and documentation of all tests performed - Follow established protocols and safety procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate diagnostic information - Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain the highest standards of laboratory testing - Keep up-to-date with advancements in medical technology and participate in continuing education to maintain ASCP certification - Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures including HIPAA regulations at all times Requirements: - Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field - ASCP certification required - Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Medical Technician in a hospital or clinical setting - Knowledge of laboratory procedures equipment and terminology - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including medical dental and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off.
