People, Culture and PALM Officer Alice Springs

About the role

ARRCS are actively sourcing a skilled People Culture and PALM Officer to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. This role attracts an annual salary between $75-$85000 PA dependent on skills and experience.

Based in Alice Springs this busy and rewarding role will see you taking management of all new starters onboarding and compliance for Alice Springs and Central Australia region and responding to the operational daily queries to People and Culture (HR). In addition you will lead the delivery of our HR Day 1 orientation program monthly and provide support for the onboarding and management of our PALM Visa workers.

The successful candidate will ideally have a background in generalist HR duties or senior administration. They will be highly organised have strong computer skills enjoy problem solving and be comfortable to work independently with minimal supervision.

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Business or similar discipline would be highly regarded however not addition prior experience within the health or not for profit industries are preferred.

Skills & experience

• Prior experience working in a Human Resource Administrative or Officer background.
• Prior knowledge and working experience in HR applications including areas of compliance onboarding.
• Previous experience working with and advising on HR matters including grievances and disputes and able to research and advise against Fair Work legislation.
• Strong and confident interpersonal skills to liaise and build relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels across the company. This role requires organisational skills and the ability to be agile and multitask often at short notice.
• Ability to travel to remote locations of the NT often with overnight stays.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite With excellent experience utilising Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Possess excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with and around the elderly.
