We are seeking an experienced Technical Officer to join our Simulation & Practical Experience team supporting the delivery of high-quality simulation and practical learning activities primarily within Nursing and Midwifery. This is a hands-on technical role that works across both clinical simulation and skills sessions and the Anatomy & Physiology (A&P) laboratories ensuring students experience coordinated safe and authentic learning across all settings.
Reporting to the Team Leader you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our simulation laboratories and A&P teaching spaces. You will provide expert technical advice and hands-on support for immersive simulation activities including the procurement maintenance setup and demonstration of simulation and clinical equipment across our simulation parallel you will assist in identifying and coordinating material and equipment requirements for Anatomy and Physiology practical activities; prepare chemical solutions; handle and prepare dissection materials (e.g. pig hearts lamb brains) in accordance with biosafety and WHS procedures; and support the setup reset and pack-down of practical laboratories.
This role offers a high level of variety and requires the ability to respond quickly confidently and informatively in a dynamic university setting. - Well-developed critical thinking skills with a high level of organisation and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements within specialised teaching environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team-focused mindset.
- The ability to follow direction while also working autonomously provide support to a small team adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks concurrently.

- Experience providing technical support for clinical simulations including set up pack down and demonstrations of simulation and clinical equipment (e.g. manikins task trainers clinical devices).

Salary Range
The full-time equivalent salary range will be HEW Level 4 $73623 - $77680 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $86138 - $90885 per annum.
