About the Role

Join the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) and play a vital role in protecting NSW from invasive invertebrates. As a Data Management and Mapping Officer youll manage and analyse data create mapping outputs and deliver insights that support decision-making and situational awareness for internal and external reporting.

Youll work with advanced tools to ensure data integrity develop models and reports and publish spatial layers to support biosecurity operations. This dynamic role is central to invasive invertebrate response efforts helping safeguard agriculture and regional communities.

About You

Youre detail-oriented analytical and passionate about turning data into actionable intelligence. Youll bring experience in:

  • Monitoring and improving data quality and integrity.
  • Building tools models and visualisations for operational insights.
  • Managing spatial and non-spatial intelligence outputs.
  • Publishing spatial layers and services in systems like ArcGIS.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven experience in data governance and quality management data analysis or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiencyin intelligence tools and software ( Excel).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Understanding of incident management systems business processes and how data products support response coordination.
  • Highly developed communication skills.
