We act for the RoleThe Coordinator Housing provides housing and tenancy management services to refugees and humanitarian entrants establishing a new life in Australia. The role is responsible for managing properties adhering to the relevant State & Territory Residential Tenancies Act and program policies. The Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring refugees secure long-term and sustainable tenancies for a diverse and broad range of communities. The Coordinator Housing plays a critical role in the delivery of our services to refugees and humanitarian entrants and will work closely with our case coordination teams volunteers and other addition to managing and securing properties for clients Housing Coordinators support clients to understand how to maintain their homes and develop the skills needed to independently search for apply for and secure housing. This aligns with the programs ultimate goal of supporting clients to live independently in will bring:Proven highly developed organisational and time management skillsProven ability to work across multiple functions and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholdersAbility to communicate and apply effective interview techniques to sensitively gain information from clientsDemonstrated cultural competence and the ability to work with people from diverse backgroundsAbility to manage complex and sensitive issuesEffective communication with a broad range of people (verbal and written) including communication of technical/procedural/ legislative information to clientsMandatory RequirementsA Working with Children Check and a valid drivers that act for you while you act for humanityFinancial wellbeing:In addition to your salary you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
