Based out of our project office in Wagga Wagga we are seeking an experienced Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to join our team in the delivery of our countries Inland Rail Project
The ideal candidate for this role will be someone personable who enjoys working with others and engaging with the local community as well as someone who can be flexible to travel to service the project area and attend meetings and events as required.
About the Role
- Liaise with owners leaseholders tenants and occupiers of land and any other landholders who are directly or indirectly impacted by the Contractors Activities or the Works
- Prepare community notifications and construction updates and attend community events.
- Ensure all works notifications and project collateral use the client branded templates.
- Draft Communications Actions Plans for any planned and unplanned construction works.
- Obtain all permissions and Approvals from the relevant owners leaseholders tenants and occupiers of the land and any other landholders or Authorities for changes to land access or property infrastructure as a result of the Contractors Activities or the Works
- Manage on-call 24/7 enquiries to address community and stakeholder issues.
- Record all interactions in Consultation Manager database within 48 hours of event occurring.
- Manage the engagement with any owners leaseholders tenants and occupiers of the land and any other landholders where the relevant land is potentially affected by the Works or the Contactors Activities
- Contribute to the delivery of the Social Delivery Management Plan
Skills and Experience:
- 2 years experience in a similar role
- Experience working on a major rail or infrastructure project will be highly regarded
- Recognised tertiary qualifications in Public Relations Communications Marketing or a related discipline will be highly regarded
- Experience in copy write digital & website content management advertising and event coordination will be highly regarded
- Tech savy confident using Microsoft 365 and can adapt well to new software

- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability in developing and implementing community involvement strategies and plans
- Advanced time management planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities meet strict deadlines and consistently deliver on commitments
- Ability to engage in effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders
- Display initiative and have a proactive approach to delivering role
